Welcome to Designed Good!
We believe that consumerism is a force for good.
Just think: What if every product in your life — the furniture in your apartment, the clothes you wear, the gifts you give friends — was a conversation starter to a conversation worth having about others doing good in the world.
Now that would be a story worth sharing.
We are leading this movement by building a community around products that matter. We believe that a story can turn a product into something meaningful.
That’s what we’re all about. We’re about connecting you to the meaning behind the products in your life. Even more, we’re about connecting you to something bigger – to the impact that your purchases can make and to a global community of free-thinkers who think just like you.
From water bottles that provide clean drinking water, to flip-flops that are made from upcycled tires in Bali, we share the stories to connect you to a better world.
We’re Designed Good — passionate, idealistic, design-loving twenty-somethings working to give you choices that feel good, while looking good, and doing good.
So you want the nitty-gritty on us?
Hi, I’m Imran Khoja, the founder at Designed Good. My story goes like this:
I’m a third-culture kid. My parents decided it would be a good idea to move every few years growing up, so I’ve been lucky enough to live in places like London, Warsaw, Vancouver, Dubai, Williamstown (where I went to college), and now Boston.
I was also extremely lucky because my parents thought it was important to see the world so they made sure we were always traveling and that we never went to the same place twice.
From all these travels, I began to fall in love with the culture and people I met in these places. As someone who loved products and the people who made them entrepreneurship, I took notice of how people would support themselves through craft and design.
As I grew up and developed my own personal aesthetic, I realized that I was drawn to products that had ‘social good’ in their fabric, that were made to empower, and that represented a story of impact.
The incredible part of the story is that these products drew people to me. They wanted to know where I got that shirt, and what it meant to me, and this gave me a powerful way to share its story as well as my own. It became a way for me to connect with others.
Designed Good is my way to connect with you. I’m working with my team to build this community so that we can share these experiences. A good story can change the world, and we can be the storytellers together.
Thanks for being part of our movement,
